A three-week illustration and arts fair in Jakarta, our wall placed where every visitor walked past it on the way in.
JICAF is an international illustration and arts fair in Jakarta — a three-week programme celebrating artists across backgrounds, mediums, and disciplines. For the 2024 edition, we placed the Graffiti+ interactive LED wall at the front entrance of the festival: the first thing every visitor encountered, the last thing they passed on the way out.
That position turned the wall into a participation funnel for the whole festival. Visitors stopped, picked up a custom spray can, painted a piece, and continued into the rest of the fair already in a creative mood. Across the three weeks, the wall collected thousands of pieces from a crowd that ranged from kids on family visits to working illustrators showing in the fair.
A good position for a wall: where the crowd is already moving. A good wall to put in that position: one that doesn't ask anything of the guest beyond picking up the can.
Eighteen years. Six continents. One idea, done right.
For eighteen years, Graffiti+ has been putting real creative tools in people's hands — in public, at scale, and always with cultural integrity.
Born from the roots of graffiti culture and built for anyone willing to pick up a custom spray can, the platform transforms arts fairs and festivals into shared canvases where audiences paint together in real time. From their home in Vancouver to projects across six continents, Graffiti+ has partnered with JICAF, Urban Break Seoul, Outloud Macau, underground expos in Tokyo, Nike and Samsung to bring authentic, participatory experiences to audiences everywhere.
Put the wall where the crowd is already moving. They'll do the rest.
